New Garnier BB Cream

I thought I would share with you guys my most recent purchase that I'm L.O.V.I.N.G!
This being the new Garnier BB Cream for combination to oily skin. I mentioned this in my last post but at the time I hadn't used it properly on my face; I had only tested it out in the shop.

I chose the shade 'light' as I'm quite fair skinned and I had previous knowledge of my disaster with their first BB Cream which I found far too dark for my skin. This product is currently on promotion at Boots, with the offer being 2 for £15 on selected Garnier skin care products, the full retail price is £9.99 (please note that this promotion may have ended upon your time of reading this).

As you can see here I have included the products 'claims' as it were, it advertises that it provides anti-shine, it helps to blur pores and imperfections as well as even tone and moisturise. Along with this there is the added bonus of SPF 20 UV protection which is something I have been looking for as my current foundation has 0 SPF! :'(

I was quite nervous to use this at first! I've been stuck with my old foundation for a while now as I'm so used to it I was scared to try something so different, yet to my surprise it was pretty close to what I ordinarily use except so much lighter and more easy to apply.

The actual product I feel is quite 'runny', this makes it lovely to apply and don't be scared if you have oily skin like me, it dries quickly and is really matifying, which I guess is the whole purpose of this new release. I really do love it!

I'm not quite sure if this picture does the product complete justice, but here this product is blended into my skin. On your face I really do feel that it helps to even out tone as well as hideaway pores. I kid you not, when my mom saw me on the evening that I had used this, bearing in mind I had put it on in the morning she said that my skin looked smoother (she didn't know I had it on)...bonus!

I think this product also lasts very well, so far I've found it stays on throughout the day. I do however use a primer before hand so this no doubt has some kind of influence.

Overall, huge sighs of relief for me as I was struggling to find a BB Cream that I liked. I'll give it another few weeks to see how I completely get on with it but first impressions are really good!

    1. I've just got up to check my face (I put the BB cream on this morning) I think it has started to fade a tad but I have been lying down asleep on the couch with the bf at one point haha!

I do recommend it and I think at Superdrug it is £7.49 at the moment as an introductory price so you could try it at a cheaper price than what I paid. :)

      Hope that helps! x

  7. Hey!

Great review on this BB cream. I'm currently using the Loreal Magique BB cream, I might give this one a go once I've finished that one.

    1. I had an issue with the L'Oreal one, I purchased the wrong shade originally and luckily Superdrug exhanged it for me for the Revlon Photoready Eye Primer as they didn't have the light shade in stock of the BB Cream...the result of my story being, I never did try the cream out properly!

Thank you for your comment and the award! I'll have a look now :) x

    1. I love it Emma :)

At the moment the primer I'm using is the No7 Stay Perfect Primer, it is very nearly gone now though, boo hoo! Not sure if you can get the exact same one now, I'd like to think so though as I find it is quite good.

  9. I've wanted to try the Garnier BB Cream for ages, but I've been too scared to change up my routine for my fussy sensitive skin.. do you find this is irritating at all? It looks amazing from the swatches though! xxx

    1. I've had no problems so far with it at all and my skin can be quite sensitive at times too.

It's such a lovely product and it will no doubt feature in my monthly favourites!

  10. Im loving the Maybelline BB cream over this one! Nevertheless, Garnier bb cream is considered quite good among the drugstore bb creams. Thanks for the review!

  11. iv just done my review post on garnier bb then somehow came across yours.
Yes I luv it too. I find it very moisturising even and gives a glowing coverage but a bit too dark for me under light though.

Btw, great blog.. am your new follower :)
