Perfectly Pampered Spa Hair Mask by Montagne Jeunesse.

Today I'm going to be carrying out a review on the Perfectly Pampered Spa Hair Mask in Orange Oil*,this is by the well know brand Montagne Jeunesse.

Through BBU (Beauty Bloggers Unite) I took part in taking up the chance to review this product and luckily I was selected amongst a number of others. I would just like to say thank you to the team at BBU as it was a great opportunity for me to get more 'involved' so to speak!

I used this product yesterday for the first time, I have used products by Montagne Jeunesse before but only facial masks, I was not aware they did hair masks. After searching on their site I have been blown away by the range that they do, I will most certainly be looking into the brand more now.

I feel that it is very important to state that Montagne Jeunesse are BUAV approved and that they carry the leaping bunny logo, this means that they are against animal testing and that their products are in no way involved with the process. Please note that they are suitable for vegetarians too! :) I think as consumers we should show our support for brands which stick true to their values as more and more companies from what I have learnt over the last few weeks are changing their stances on the issue of 'cruelty free'.

Anyhow, to the review!

I used the hair mask after shampooing my hair as normal.  I found that for me there wasn't enough of the product to do my whole head of hair from root to tip as the packaging advised...it probably didn't help that I dropped some in the shower and watched it go down the plug hole. I left the hair mask on as advised for between 5-10 minutes; I was closer to the 10 minutes as I stuck my hair up in a shower cap and pottered around the bathroom for a while!

The smell was divine, a lovely rich orange scent that at the time lasted well however once my hair was dry I did struggle to smell the product afterwards which was a bit of a disappointment. The packaging states that it is a hair mask so I expected the product itself to be quite thick, however I found it to be quite runny; it did on the other hand apply lovely and my hair felt nice and soft whilst using it.

Overall, I would say that this product is ok but I most likely would not purchase this in the future. I think for a slightly higher price that there are better products available. My hair once dry didn't feel that much different as to when I use my normal conditioners, there was no 'wow' factor after using this, however, I would like to add that my hair had a nice shine to it so it did have a visible influence on my hair.

Having used this and researched the brand more I'm really keen to try other products by them, especially the Green Tea Peel Off Face Mask!

These hair masks can be purchased from the Montagne Jeunesse website, with the retail price at just £1.09

Thanks again BBU!
