May Empties!

It has been a while since I did an empties post, to be honest I fell out of love with them a little but now I've returned with one for you today. This is a bit of a mix from March, April and May as I must confess I collected a bag of stuff, got so fed up of it and recycled it all without posting about it so I had to start again...oops!

I did a review on the B.Pure Micellar Water back in February (wow how times flies) read that here. Back then I said I would re-buy it however I've recently been researching micellar waters and generally speaking they're not deemed that fantastic. I think if I was going away to a festival or something I might re-buy it as it does work well, but for my main skincare routine I think I will be skipping micellar waters from now on. They appear to be quite good for make up removal but by no means should they just be used as your main cleanser. Seeing as I use a separate eye make up remover and then a cleanser I can't really see the point in using a micellar water in between, therefore I'll be leaving it out for now...having said that, the Bioderma hype intrigues me so I would like to try it just to see what all the fuss is about.

I've being using the Korres Jasmine Eye Make-Up Remover which I purchased in the Feel Unique sale just after Christmas. I did like this however at full price this product retails at £16 which I think is really expensive as for me personally it didn't do the job any better than The Body Shop Gentle Camomile Eye Make-Up Remover which is half the price. It was nice, but I wouldn't re-buy it.

First of the products I would re-buy is the John Frieda Full Repair Full Body Shampoo! I do not know how I haven't dedicated a full review to this product as I think it is a great shampoo. My hair feels so refreshed, soft, shiny and full when I use this, it is a pleasant experience every time, a definite re-buy. The shampoo retails at £5.89 yet they're often on offer at 2 for £8 which makes them a very appealing £4 each, bargain!

I had the Soap and Glory Glad Hair Day Shampoo lying around for a while so I thought it was high time I finished it off. The reason it had taken so long is because quite frankly I didn't get on with it, however, since using it in the North West compared to the Midlands I found it worked so much better on my hair...maybe something is in the water up here. At £5.50 it isn't too bad however I do prefer the John Freida shampoo so I would always choose that over this, having said that I do like the fact that this shampoo has no build up formula.

The Soap and Glory Heel Genius was another product that I wanted to use up as I didn't really like it all too much. Sadly whereas the former Soap and Glory product I found my opinion changed over time with this it did not. I was so glad to use this up as I didn't really enjoy the experience of using it, as for personally I like to moisturise my feet and then wear cotton socks to lock in the moisture, however with this it just wasn't possible as my feet felt wet in the socks....nice! I now use a different product for this which has made the experience so much better, with that being The Body Shop Africa Honey and Beeswax Hand and Foot Butter which is actually my second tub. Again at £5.50 the price is more than reasonable as you do get a good amount of product here, I just found that this product was not for me.

    1. I have never tried the conditioner to be honest and I most likely won't unless I end up with it as a gift or something as it's not something I've ever been keen to try. It's a shame you didn't like it though xx

    1. Mine took ages!! So glad it is gone now as I really was not a fan. The Korres remover is pricey indeed, I'm glad I didn't pay that for it as it was no better for me than previous products xx

  13. Totes understand what you mean about the S&G heel cream. It is fine minus the socks, however, it definitely does feel wet in socks.

If you want a buttery formula, you might like the one by Champneys. The packaging looks gorgeous too!

    1. oo they're not bad for you :) I think they're really handy to be honest but I was reading Caroline Hirons site and from what I could understand she doesn't appear to rate them that great in terms of skincare. I personally think that they're ok so long as you use another cleanser alongside in order to get the right nourishment for your skin :) (probably should have put that in the post, I will update it haha)

I've never tried Bioderma, I would like to just to see what all the hype is about :D

      Thanks Gemma :D xx

    2. Awww thank god hehe, I was ready to bin it (only joking) I know what you mean though your skin needs more than just one product for a thorough cleanse :) You really should try it, you'd be so so so impressed :D xxx

  19. I love love love John Frieda's Full Repair conditioner, so it would make sense that the shampoo is a real winner as well. Never tried it, as I need a very moisturizing shampoo for my dry, curly hair, but I may recommend this to my sister. Can't hate on that price tag either! xx

  21. I agree that micellar waters are more for removing your makeup, especially eye makeup, rather than substituting for a proper all-over face cleanser that usually foams. I use my Bioderma mainly to get rid of eye makeup or for spot removal, or for when I don't have the time to lean over the skin and properly wash my face. That Korres eye makeup remover does sound very pricey - I'll stick with Bioderma (at least bought online!).
