DKNY Be Delicious Woman I ❤ NYC

Readers of my blog will know I'm incredibly keen on fragrances, I have a mini obsession as I often find myself checking out the latest releases and pulling sample sticks out of my coat pocket when I get home. One of the most recent fragrances to cross my path has been DKNY Be Delicious which in 2012 was released again in New York limited edition theme; along with this a London and Paris version were also produced. Donna Karen, the founder of DKNY has produced a collection of fragrances which help portray the femininity  romance and energy all found within the big city.

DKNY Be Delicious* to me is quite a light and fresh fragrance that was re-released in limited edition packaging to celebrate the buzzing energy of New York City. The city that never sleeps is beautifully portrayed across the top of the packaging in a black outline, can you spot the Statue of Liberty?

As I've mentioned, this is a wonderfully light fragrance with really refreshing scents that you immediately catch on to; the smell of cucumber and green apple are invigorating at first instance which I really quite like. I find that after a few minutes on my skin the scent warms up a little bit where I can definitely detect the wood notes coming through, this for me takes away the light scent of the fragrance and makes it more like the typical type of scent I would usually go for.

For me this fragrance has a bit of everything, light and fresh along with warm and woody; I really hope that makes sense as I think it is really quite lovely. I wouldn't say it is the most long lasting fragrance I have tried however, I never really find many that do last that long really so this is nothing out of the ordinary. After trying this version I would love to try the  I ❤ London version which is a take on the Fresh Blossom fragrance which has notes of jasmine and apricot present; it sounds wonderful.

DKNY fragrances and other products can be purchased at Harrods with starting prices for 30ml being £36.

Top Notes: Green Apple, Cucumber, Grapefruit
Heart Notes: Magnolia, Tuberose, Muguet
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Blondewood, Amber, Tender Skin Accord

  4. I had this one in the original casing but I love the different city scents! My sister has Paris and loves it! I can totally see what you mean about the light and fruity turning into a warm scent. I'd never be able to pin point it myself but you got it spot on! :D

  8. My mum uses this perfume and I just love it. Steal sprays far too often, I should probably get my own.

  11. Ah the bottle is so cute, but I've never liked any of the DKNY perfumes.. I have no idea why, I think it's because they're quite sweet xx
