Essie Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

It seems only appropriate to start off the 1st December with a Christmas themed post and what better way to start than with the new Christmas Duo from Essie. I've had my eye on this duo ever since the Essie twitter page posted an image of them a few weeks ago. I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more products like this for myself this side of Christmas however these little collections never seem to stay in my local store very long so I quickly popped one in my basket yesterday.

The Christmas Duo's cost £12.99 so there is a saving to be made in buying one of these as each polish normally costs £7.99. There are two versions out this year, I picked up Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as this appealed to me most, I must say though that the other addition A Sprinkle in Pink also looks so pretty and would not be out of place at all on my desk...

The deep shade of bobbing for baubles is to me somewhat of a dusty creamy navy shade with in my opinion hints of grey, unfortunately it didn't show up as well as I had hoped in the image above, I tried, believe me I tried. It is a nice opaque polish which I personally really like; I think it will look absolutely perfect with set in stones which is a beautiful silver hexagonal glitter polish. I picked up mine from Boots so check your local store if you're as smitten with them as me.

All in all a perfect little Christmas duo of Essie polishes to see us through this winter.

  1. Oh gosh that set is so pretty! I've been lusting over After School Boy Blazer for a wee while now & Baubing for Baubles looks very very similar to it. I'll need to pop this duo in my Christmas list because the glitter polish looks gorgeous too x

  9. I adore Essie polishes! Glitter polishes are so lovely but they're such a pain to take off! Perhaps for the holiday season though, it will be worth it.

  10. This is the perfect nail polish duo, such lovely shades. I especially love the look of the glitter - I love glitter polishes with bigger chunks, much easier to get it opaque x
