LUSH | The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar

Happy New Year everybody! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and didn't get too drunk of New Year's Eve. I was quite the boring soul and spent my evening in, I've never been one for going out and getting hammered so instead I stayed at home in my PJ's munching on a chocolate or two.

In order to kick off my first of many posts for 2014 I decided to start with a rather lovely chap from LUSH; The Christmas Penguin.

I've tried so very little from LUSH that whilst I was in Birmingham just before Christmas I decided to pop a few things in my basket to try out. The first product I'm featuring was actually a little stocking filler from my mom which I picked out whilst we were in the store together. I had seen The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar featured in a few YouTube videos and blog posts on the run up to Christmas and decided that having tried The Melting Snowman last year that I would like to give the little penguin a go.

Having never tried a bubble bar before I have to say I'm rather excited to use this tonight. I'm thinking of splitting him into two though in order to get two baths out of him, what do you think?

As always LUSH products are cruelty free which is why I'm determined to try more from the brand this year.

  4. I'd split it in half, you get so many bubbles you don't really need a whole one.

  6. He's so cute! I always split lush bubble bars into two or more pieces to get extra baths out of them. You get more than enough bubbles from just half. X

  7. Oh my gosh how cute is this little fellow! I don't usually buy much from Lush either, I'm more of a shower person but buying from Lush and having more baths could be the first resolution I've ever stuck to! Happy new year :)

  13. Look at his little face! You can't use him, you need to set him free and let him be a penguin without a cause ;)

  15. I've only just tried Lush products last month. I've always been put off by the strong smells coming from the shop, but have heard so many good things that I'm glad I went in. I only have the lip scrub, but got some goodies for Christmas.

Definitely want something to put in my bath though. This is really cute!

  17. This is so cute! I've never tried a bubble bar before, only their soaps. I have to be careful with their ingredients list because SLS tends to irritate my skin.

  18. Aww I never got to try out this little fella but I know if I had of I wouldn't have wanted to use him as they looked so cute all sat together. :)

I'd say split him in half to get two baths out of him. I usually split my lush products into a maximum of 6 pieces, as I like to make sure I'm getting my money's worth!

  22. That little guy is too adorable! I think I might have one in one of the gift sets I bought from LUSH from the sales post-Christmas, though his face got all smashed :p Hope you enjoy using him in the bath!

  25. You have one indeed as I just saw your latest post on my bloglovin app. I can't comment on there but I will do soon! So far I have used him for two baths, I will easily get another two out of him so it's worth breaking him up if you want to be frugal :) xx

  26. It's fantastic isn't it, I only wish more companies would take on that stance as there is no need for it anymore xx

    ReplyDelete
  27. I must admit I felt awful breaking him up, he makes a nice bath though :) xx

    ReplyDelete
  28. I know! I hope they make the same one next year as I will definitely be buying another one xx

  29. They all look unbelievably cute! I think I will get roughly about four baths out of this, possibly even five xx

  30. That's a shame as SLS is in a few of these from what I can see. I know there are some products without it though :) xx

  41. I had read to do that too on a blog post a few days ago, you seriously do get enough bubbles with just 1/4 of the product. Money saving tip there :) xx
