Yves Rocher Evidence

Yves Rocher Comme Une Evidence L'Eau De Parfum Intense*
Regular reader of A Little Boat Sailing will know that fragrances are some of my up most favourite things. I simply adore trying out new scents in stores and often find myself going home smelling of a combination of different scents which results in me being rather confused as to which one is which at the end of the day; I'm like a walking apothecary only without the expertise.

Voted the most popular beauty brand in France Yves Rocher attracts over 30 million women all over the world due to the botanical nature of the brand. From skincare to makeup, body care and fragrances Yves Rocher seems to have it all covered. Recently I was kindly sent a fragrance from the brand to try out, of course having never experienced the brand before I was quite excited to see what it would be like.

The Yves Rocher Comme Une Evidence L'Eau De Parfum Intense* was released in 2013 as a more intense version of the original Comme Une Evidence which was released back in 2003. The packaging of this is simple and straight forward and appeals to me because of this. In terms of scent which of course is the most important thing I think that this is generally quite a floral fragrance which was only confirmed to me once I had read what the notes were. I must admit I do find it quite hard to pick up individual scents in fragrances therefore I always like to find out what they're based around.

Top notes: bergamot, violet leaves
Heart notes: rose, jasmine, wild lily of the valley
Base note: patchouli

I can most certainly detect rose and for me that is what stands out and indeed remains throughout the duration of the scent on my skin. On first use it is initially quite strong in comparison to some of my other fragrances in my collection however it does settle down nicely onto the skin after a few minutes. In terms of lasting power I would say that this is just OK, I can't deny that I would have expected more from an eau de parfum in all honesty as they do tend to last longer on the skin in comparison to an eau de toilette. Having now being using this for a few weeks my general thoughts are that it is pleasant to use however it has become more of a day time fragrance that I can spray on a bit more liberally, allowing me to save some of my more personal favourites for more special occasions.

At the time of writing this review the fragrance is currently on offer for £16.50 which I have to say is quite a good deal for a 50ml bottle. Overall I think it is a nice light pleasant floral fragrance and would be worth checking out if you're partial to floral scents.

  2. I'm not usually a floral scents kind of girl, but this actually sounds lovely! I really like Yves Rocher's So Purple Elixir (I think that's what it's called...) :)
