June Favourites

June Favourites

Despite us having a few days of glorious sunshine throughout June the end of the month has resulted in being a bit of a wash out for most concerned; will the British summer time ever break tradition? Not to break the habit of a blog lifetime however I'm going to step in today with my favourite items from June; enjoy.

Throughout June I found myself using some old favourites along with two new additions which have really impressed me. The LUSH Tea Tree Water if you hadn't already guessed is my favourite product of the month of which this has already been featured within a few posts so far this month. This refreshing toner is perfect for those that suffer with blemishes, it's cooling and provides antibacterial and antiseptic properties helping to keep bacteria at bay and skin clear; all in all a fantastic product that I know I will repurchase in the future.

Keeping along the theme of skincare for the moment I wanted to mention the Superfacialist Tea Flower Deep Clean Purifying Cleansing Wash which was a product I actually did forget to mention within my tackling blemishes post a few days ago, doh! I have being using this gel cleanser now for about three weeks without fail both morning and night and I have to say I think it is brilliant. Again I do think that this is most certainly worth trying if you have combination/oily skin with problematic blemishes, I also think that sometimes a bit of consistency is key.

Two of my favourite make up items I have being using are old favourites which have made somewhat of a comeback throughout June. The Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer has left my under eyes looking a lot brighter and hasn't creased much at all. Combined with the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Stylo Touche De Lumiere highlighting pen I have noticed a much brighter and overall even looking finish to my eye area; to put it quite simply I look like I have slept for ten hours instead of my usual six.

Reaching over to blusher I have re-discovered my love for the Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels which I have to admit I did put to the way side over the last six months to make room for other things. This is a light blush that has a cream to powder formulation which I find to be rather pigmented that can be easily over worked if you're not careful. Having said that I find that with a little amount upon the finger tips I find that it blends out lovely creating a really soft flush to the cheeks. Ever since I have being trying to use up a few things I have found myself re-discovering quite a few items therefore I think it is time I shared these with you in an upcoming post.

My fashion favourite of this month arrives in the form of a tan satchel which I picked up from Matalan about two years ago for £5! This was an absolute steal and has been a blessing to use because I was quite fed up of the black bag I had being using for the last six months; I'm still not entirely sure why I didn't reach for it sooner.

What have been your favourite items from June?

  2. I really need to try the Lush Tea Tree water! My problem area is my chin and I'm still on the look out for the perfect product to banish all the nasties. I also really like the sound of the L'Oreal highlighting pen. I think I need to start making a shopping list before I go into Boots as I can never remember what I want when I get in there. xo

  10. The Lush Tea tree toner sounds amazing, I should definitely give it a go as I suffer from breakouts as well! I love the Topshop blush too, the formula did take a bit of getting used to for me but I love the shade!

  11. The Lush toner sounds fab, I really need to try more Lush skincare. The Una Brennan cleanser sounds gorgeous, too, you're such a bad influence - I'll be buying half the stand next time I'm in Boots ;D Lovely picks, Amy!

  12. The Topshop cream blushes are lovely aren't they? I had one when they first came out but it dried out unfortunately. I would definitely repurchase though. Quite a lot of the cream blushes I have tried had a shiny finish which I didn't like, I love how the Topshop ones dry to a powder :)

  20. It is lovely, you just have to ensure you use a hydrating eye cream or else it can be a bit drying; its not as runny as the foundation x

  25. I've got that blush, it's a beaut, isn't it? My favourite for summer, along with Benefit Rockateur.
I'm yet to try anything from Una Brennan, can never seem to find it in my local Boots! I've recently been trying out a lovely skincare brand called Kosmea, which I can't recommend enough.

  27. It's a lovely blush Mel, I'm enjoying using it again at the moment. My local store has stopped stocking Una Brennan which is really annoying, I'll have to go to a bigger store or order online now. Kosmea sounds nice, I will check them out x
