HealGel Intensive

HealGel Intensive

HealGel and me get on very well, to the point of being where I can say without doubt these products have been so far the best I have tried when it comes to how a product feels once applied. HealGel Intensive* is an aqueous gel which aims to soothe and repair troublesome skin. I started using using HealGel Intensive back in May but have until now fell a little bit behind in sharing my thoughts with you.

With this being a gel this immediately gets my vote as gel textures are my favourite types of textures to work with due to my skin type, particularly at this time of year when it starts to get a little warmer. I've so far being inclined to use this in the morning time after I have cleansed and toned whereby I haven't being moisturising on top although I'm sure you could if you wanted to as it leaves my skin feeling relatively matte. There is a light fragrance to this which I really like, it isn't too strong at all and remains only very lightly on the skin afterwards.

HealGel Intensive has been developed to form a protective layer on top of the skin so that the ingredients can work away beneath the skin. Initially I was using this as a moisturiser for my whole face but upon reflection and indeed reading more about it I switched my method and began using it on troubled areas only such as blemishes around my nose and on my cheeks. Over the time I have being using I have noticed that it for one works as a nice primer which is always handy but two, it really does help to calm those troublesome areas down. Those areas of redness that I can often wake up with in the morning are soothed and definitely calm down quicker using this than if I were to leave them alone.

A little bit of HealGel Intensive is all that is required as it really does go quite a long way which I guess does help to remedy against the fact that it is a little bit pricey. At £37.50 HealGel Intensive isn't budget friendly however there are now quite a few online stores that stock this of which there are always various promotions and discounts being offered so it is worth keeping an eye out if this interests you.

  1. This product sounds really intriguing but also very beneficial! It makes sense to have a protective layer! It is a bit pricey for me though, and I don't believe they sell it where I live anyways, but definitely one to keep in mind.

  2. I love the look of this! I always find that gels work well with my skin type (reverse combination to dry) so I'll be on the look out for a good deal for this online ;)

  4. HealGel products always sound lovely and I adore the packaging, I have to admit it is just the price putting me off - I'm scared to pay that much for a product when I don't really know how I'll get on with it! Great review, though :)
