October Overview

October Overview

October was the first time in a long time where I felt as though I couldn't dedicate as much time to my blog as I wanted. In truth this made me feel really sad as running this blog is probably the one sole thing that I truly enjoy doing yet it's far from being something that I could use as a platform for a career therefore I've had to push it to a side line in order to work and study. Whilst I'm still publishing content frequently I have felt more pressurised in terms of time, juggling work, studying and my blog isn't easy even though I have done it before. Let's just say that my course seems to have involved more work in the last month than my entire degree over three years! (It obviously hasn't although it sure does feel that way).

Therefore in order to help me out over the last month I've been blessed to have three ladies help me out of which some of you will have read their fantastic guest posts that they produced for my little space here. Gemma shared her thoughts on the Bioderma Hydrabio H2O whereas Latasha treated us to her favourite LUSH Bubble Bars! Lastly Chaitra shook things up a little and delighted us all with her DIY Pamper Facial; I know I would definitely benefit from one of those right now! One huge big thank you to those three ladies who guest posted for me last month, it was so exciting to have you on board.

Aside from the fantastic guest posts I had featured I also shared with you my brand new series The Muji Files which resulted in the first post of the series in being a huge hit with you guys; thank you so much for such positive feedback on that. Lastly I also featured a few of my most Recent Purchases which were hard earned treats after such a trying first month, fingers crossed November will be much smoother.

  1. I stopped blogging for 3 months over the summer to dedicate all of my energies to my MA dissertation. It was a hard decision to make at the time because I love blogging and I feel as though it did have a big impact on my blog. However, when you see your hard work and your sacrifices pay off (I just found out I'm graduating with a Distinction!) and you work towards a balance that is achievable for the future, then it is all worth while. I wish you every luck with finding your balance, it definitely isn't easy but trial and error is sometimes as good a way as any to see what works. xx

  2. Blogging sometimes needs to be put to the side when important things come up. There is always scheduling, but sometimes school gets crazy without us even having time to plan!
