An Origins Re-Purchase

Origins Skincare

Back when I first started blogging there was always one particular brand that I wanted to try, that was of course Origins. From the Drink Up Intensive Mask to the Gin Zing Eye Cream there were many products that were on my radar and remained so for a rather long time. It wasn't until January last year when I finally made one of my first purchases from Origins, at the time I'd only ever tried the Gin Zing Moisturiser which was something I thoroughly enjoyed using therefore when the Christmas sales were still on I finally took advantage and ordered myself the little 24 Hour Glow gift set which featured a few of their products.

Fast forward a year and a bit later I have since finished the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins moisturiser and have now made a re-purchase because yes, I loved it that much. When making my order a few weeks ago I also decided to pick up the new Origins Facial Brush which cost me £5. I wasn't too sure about the concept of this but naturally being a beauty blogger I wanted to give it a try. Having now used this briefly I'm in two minds about it because when I very first tried it the bristles felt really gentle yet when I came to use it to exfoliate my face when using a cleansing gel I did notice that it felt a bit more rough on my face. Perhaps I'm using this wrong, are we supposed to use it dry only? Nevertheless I'm persevering for now.

Of course there is more than one product featured here yet I actually only paid for High Potency Night-A-Mins and the Facial Brush because everything else happened to be free when I spent over £30. I have to say that when it comes to gifts with purchases Origins has to be one of the best brands around. The majority of the samples here are of a really decent size so for the products which are new to me such as Modern Friction I'll be able to give them a good try before I ultimately decide if I like them or not.

Whilst the specific offer I used may well have ended there are always offers on the Origins website so it's well worth keeping an eye on that. This post wasn't sponsored in any way, I just happen to really like Origins and think that their gifts with purchases are fantastic; I wish all brands offered something just as good as this.

  11. I've yet to try anything from Origins, but I think I'll definitely be taking advantage of the Christmas sales too and getting myself a gift set. My current obsession seems to be eye creams because after the Kiehl's Avocado eye cream, it's the Orings GinZing one that's been catching my eye on the blogosphere x

  17. I know! I was so shocked when I got the email informing me of the offer at the time, to be fair they do some amazing ones quite frequently.

  19. I quite like the GinZing eye cream, it does a nice job of brightening up the area but sadly I don't find it as hydrating as I would like.

  20. Yes, the sales are SO good! I have being trying out this little sample of the GinZing eye cream after my Kiehl's one ran out but on Thursday I repurchased the Kiehl's one, make out of that what you will. The GinZing was nice and helped improve the appearance of dark circles but overall I prefer the Kiehl's version as it is much more hydrating.

  21. Great review, Origins are so good with their samples. Even online you get a choice of two samples with any purchase which I think is great. I've wanted to try this night cream for ages now really must try it once I use up some of the moisturisers I already have. I tried the facial brush awhile ago they had them free with purchases a year ago…I wasn't a fan …but maybe thats me I don't think I'm sold on the whole facial brush cleanse :) xx

  22. They really are, I was amazed that even after the little offer I used they still chucked in a further two samples anyway. Yes I really do think it is a fantastic product, I wouldn't have repurchased it if I had felt any different, especially doing what I do as I like to try so many new things. The brush is something I can't make my mind up on, I have now used it twice and I am very undecided; I'm just glad I didn't pay a lot for it.

  23. Look at all those samples - wow! Origins is still a brand I'm yet to try properly, I just don't know where to begin! The moisturiser sounds lovely.

  25. The Dr. Weil for Origins Mega-Bright moisturizer with SPF is a great day time option! It has a light citrus-y scent and has really made a difference in the overall complexion of my skin. Since Origins products work so well, you should definitely give that a try too!
