The Sunday Script #1

Sunday Script
In a bid to start posting of a weekend more frequently I have decided to bring back my Sunday post. If truth be told I was feeling like my blog was missing something of a weekend, in fact I wanted to include a more personal post each week in which when sitting down and thinking about it I decided that this type of post would do nicely for a weekend feature. Sunday's are quite possibly my favourite day of the week, I enjoy being at home relaxing with my family, having a lovely Sunday roast and just generally having a bit of a chilled out, fuss free day. Having said that it is also a day that I like to use as a way of preparing for the week ahead, therefore come the end of the evening I know what my plan for the coming week is.

Currently I am working Sundays at the moment however they won't be for much longer as I recently got a new job, hurrah! Today I plan on having a bit of a lie in before I have to head off to work for my afternoon shift; I really look forward to a cheeky snooze in bed on a Sunday as it is the one day I can do so without feeling any form of guilt. Once I am home I'll be catching up with the Wimbledon final in which I hope will be into its fifth set, this is not just so we have a nice tight match but also so that I can catch the match after work, as otherwise it will have long finished by the time I get home.

On Saturday evening I was delving into various boxes that we still have yet to unpack from moving (the not so important stuff) and whilst doing so I found my copy of Sali Hughes Pretty Honest. I had being looking for it a few weeks ago and had been unsuccessful so I am super happy that I managed to find it. I'm hoping to settle down and start reading this properly soon as I have being itching to read it since I purchased it, yet sadly moving and having exams got in the way a little.

Speaking of which, I am also looking forward to picking up my copy of the Millie Marotta Animal Kingdom Colouring Book. I know these may sound a little daft to some but I really like how therapeutic they can be, especially in a world that is so technology based; it is really nice to put pen to paper and indulge in something creative.

Whilst out shopping in town last week I managed to track down the St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan which has being doing the rounds recently. I won't pretend to say that I had not fallen for the hype because I have, therefore I'll be trying this out later on this evening in order to see how I get on with it.

What are you up to today?

  11. I have wanted an adult colouring book for awhile now, as it seems like the perfect relaxing exercise! I have a long haul flight coming up next month and it sounds like the perfect thing to take my mind off the fact that I am flying. x

  18. I have used the tan lotion once so far and I actually do like it, I have noticed a very subtle tint to my skin which is nice as I'm normally really pale. I'll use it again this week and see how it goes the second time around.

  19. You can always pick it up next time around Heather, I'm looking forward to reading it soon.

  20. I completely agree, I've thought about photocopying a few designs to use as pictures for my bedroom too.

  21. I like it so far I must admit, I can see why people would expect more but for a tan newbie like me I'm quite happy with the results. I hope you're liking it too.

  22. Thank you! It was a nice weekend.

  23. So far I like it but it is really subtle, if you like a nice evident tan then I don't think you would like this as it's really light.

  28. They're really lovely to use, even if you only spend 10 or 15 minutes using one.

  29. Thank you Jordan! These books are everywhere at the moment, I'm sure the interest will die off with them soon but I think it's great something like these has been highlighted for adults.

  30. Thank you! So far I like the tan but it is very light, having said that I did want that effect because I'm quite a tanning noob so to speak.
